Giselle, Marius Petipa original choregraphy

New National Theater Tokyo will stage from April 10 Giselle, the classical ballet work, in the original 19th century choregraphy from Marius Petipa (1884). NNTT ballet company is great when re-staging original choregraphies, as we could experience with Stravinsky’s Firebird, based on Fokine original design. Having an insight on the original works and its modernity at that time gives us a perspective on classical dance, as well as its evolutions and contemporary forms of this art.
