New National Theatre Tokyo presents in March 2025 a large program, including The Firebird in the (?) original choregraphy by Fokine and a The vertiginous thrill of exactitude by William Forsythe. A 2h30 session, mix of classical and more contemporary forms of ballet. Definitely worth trying, with an English friendly booking site.

Noism, one of the most famous contemporary dance companies in Japan, based in Niigata, will be performing in Kanto in February, from 7 to 9. At Saitama Art Theater, it is a bit remote, however you will also have the chance to see one work of Ryohei Kondo at the same time.

Yokohama International Performing Arts Meeting will start on Nov.29, 2024, for 2 weeks. A good opportunity to see theatre plays and performances in English or with English subtitles (like Confession of a Shinagawa Monkey, from Nov.28 to Dec.8, Dido and Enea, or Les Chants de Maldoror) as well as contemporary dance, butoh and performances. Yuni Hong Charpe performances look interesting, on Dec 4,5, 6 and 7. There is a very solid dance program for Yokohama Dance collection throughout the meetings and Performing Arts selection 2024 from December 7 to 12.
