The Rite of Spring, butoh style

Dairakudakan, the famous butoh company established in 1972 and still headed by Akaji Maro, one of the most famous butoh dancers and choregraphers still alive, was chosen by Dance Box Kobe selection series 2026 for their revisited Rite of Spring, choregraphed by Jongye Yang and created in late 2025. This is a great chance to see an exciting works, one of my preferred performances of 2025, from September 4 to 6, in Kansai, and this really is not to be missed.
